After Italian prosecutors investigated Suarez's examination in Perugia, Juventus lawyer Maria Turco issued a statement stating that media reports of Juventus cheating on Suarez were taken out of context.
Turco wrote in the statement: "Within the scope of my legal duties, I asked the staff of the player Luis Suarez to contact Perugia University for Foreigners. This contact is necessary to verify that citizenship is obtained. After the conditions, the contact activity can be seen in the mail between the player's entourage and the university. Out of courtesy, the signer appears in the CC column instead of the recipient column.
"I talked to the university’s Erasmus (European Exchange Student Program) and the Mobile International Relations Service Office to obtain and pass on the registration guidelines for the course delivery and subsequent examinations. I clearly pointed out that those of me were tapped and made public out of context. The words are incomplete. In fact, in these telephone conversations, I clearly requested that the examination be held as scheduled and that other candidates would not be treated in any form.
"I think that if I analyze these conversations carefully, it will undoubtedly prove my above statement. As for mentioning other players, it is obvious that since this is the first time I have followed up on matters related to Italian proficiency certification, my words should be understood as A kind of procedural knowledge (the knowledge that an individual has not consciously extracted clues, and can only infer its existence indirectly by means of a certain form of work), is only used when needed.
"Therefore, there is no agreement, no negotiation, just a confirmation."
